Introduction

In addition to Producing TV shows for over 15 years around the world, I have always held a passion for photography.  In 2009 I wanted to devise an outlet that would allow me to publish regular work in a concept that hadn't been done before, and this is when I devised and launched I Dig Your Sole Man.

The concept was inspired by the boom in popular street blogs that focus on high end satorial fashion.  To me, these sites look great, but can at times feel elitist if you don't know the eccentricities of high end fashion, so I decided to start something that hadn't been tapped into, a project that focuses on purely urban style and specifically sneaker culture, and IDYSM was the world's first ever sneaker based street blog.

We all own at least one pair of sneakers, and without realising it our footwear choices make a huge statement about who we are, and the site has become a great way of unearthing fantastic stories about people through their style choices as I look to see what styles are indicative to different cities.

Everything on the site is self-created - every shot I take, ever word I write, and every video I Produce, shoot, Direct and Edit with portraits/features every Mon/Weds/Fri, and reportage work every Tues/Thurs.  It sounds hectic and it is, as I continue to maintain the project as a sideline from my private work.

In just over 2 years the project is going from strength to strength with ever-growing followers jumping on board, more and more brands wanting to get involved, and the project shortlisted as Blog of the Year 2011.  2012 is set to be a big one so strap yourselves in (or lace yourselves up), and enjoy!
